| Construction on the North Star Shopping Center is set to begin next spring, and the first phase will include over 500,000 square feet of space.
The developers recently applied for final zoning for the project wih the Denton City Council.
No retail tenants have been named, but builders say the retail complex will have several big-box tenants, specialty stores and restaurants in a "park-like, pedestrian-friendly atmosphere."
"We are going to want to wait a couple of months to announce the tenants," said Joe Doye, who heads development for Westin Development. "We are in lease negotiations with numerous tenants."
